Overview

CJC-1295 No DAC, also known as Modified GRF (1-29) or Mod GRF (1-29), is a synthetic 29-amino acid analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It contains four amino acid substitutions that increase resistance to enzymatic degradation while retaining a short pharmacokinetic profile due to the absence of the Drug Affinity Complex (DAC). As a result, CJC-1295 No DAC is widely utilized as a research tool for investigating physiological growth hormone pulsatility, pituitary GHRH receptor signalling, and endocrine regulation.

Unlike CJC-1295 with DAC, the No DAC variant does not bind to serum albumin and exhibits a substantially shorter half-life, making it particularly valuable in experimental models designed to evaluate pulsatile hormone secretion and receptor-mediated endocrine signalling.

Key Research Applications

Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH) Receptor Pharmacology

Widely utilized to investigate activation of the GHRH receptor and the downstream intracellular signalling pathways involved in endogenous growth hormone secretion.

Endocrine Signalling

Studied in laboratory models to evaluate physiological regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-growth hormone (HPGH) axis, including receptor activation, feedback mechanisms, and pulsatile hormone release.

Growth Hormone Pulsatility

Applied in experimental studies examining the temporal dynamics of endogenous growth hormone secretion, providing a model for investigating physiological pulsatile endocrine signalling.

IGF-1 Axis Research

Investigated for its effects on growth hormone-mediated insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) signalling pathways in preclinical endocrine research.

Cellular Growth and Protein Metabolism

Utilized in laboratory investigations exploring cellular growth mechanisms, protein synthesis pathways, tissue metabolism, and anabolic signalling associated with growth hormone physiology.

Peptide Pharmacology

Frequently employed as a comparative research compound for evaluating pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic differences between short-acting GHRH analogues and long-acting DAC-modified peptides.
